Manus launches Wide Research feature, allowing multiple agents to concurrently process large-scale tasks

On August 1, 2025, the AI agent platform Manus launched a new feature called “Wide Research,” allowing users to leverage multiple AI agents to concurrently process large-scale tasks, such as batch-generating design drafts, selecting MBA programs, or analyzing stock performance. This feature is initially available to Pro users and will be gradually expanded to Plus and Basic users.

Wide Research’s Core Highlights

1. System-Level Parallel Processing and Agent Collaboration
The key to Wide Research lies in its system-level parallel processing mechanism and agent-to-agent collaboration protocol. Unlike traditional multi-agent systems based on predefined roles (such as “Manager,” “Programmer,” or “Designer”), each sub-agent in Wide Research is a fully functional, general-purpose Manus instance. This generality unlocks flexibility; tasks are not constrained to fixed formats or predefined domains; the only real limit is the user’s imagination.

2. Powerful Task Processing Capabilities
Wide Research can handle complex, large-scale tasks requiring information on hundreds of projects. Whether exploring Fortune 500 companies, comparing top MBA programs, or delving into GenAI tools, Wide Research can handle them with ease. This launch marks a significant milestone in Manus’s efforts to explore the scalability of AI agents.

Wide Research is now officially available to Pro users, with plans to gradually expand to Plus and Basic users.
